Flat Stanley Part Four

While in Idaho, Flat Stanley stayed near the small town of Inkom and visited the nearby community of Lava Hot Springs. In Lava, Stanley posed with a rodeo bull statue. As Stanley rode east, he got a picture of his entrance to Wyoming.

Flat Stanley Part Three

Hi all,

I've been off-blog for a while because mom and dad are visiting. Since they are my primary audience, I've been saving up stuff for after their visit. So you'll start seeing some posts starting now.

Flat Stanley came back from Idaho with mom and dad. Here's some updated pictures. Stanley went to the McCammon Pioneer Days Rodeo and Parade (July 11). He got kissed by a Washington state rodeo queen, helped hitch a pony cart, viewed the parade and met a clown.

Flat Stanley Part Two

In this second installment, Stanley went on vacation to Maui with Tim and family. There he learned not to feed the Nene, in order to protect Hawaii's state bird. He learned to climb really neat trees, hang loose Hawaiian style and enjoy Hawaiian shave ice.

Flat Stanley Part One

Some of you may have heard of Flat Stanley. This is a book about a boy who is flattened accidently, so he decides to go on adventures by being sent through the mail. James is doing a Flat Stanley project for his summer tutoring program. He sent Flat Stanley to Hawaii for a vacation with Tim and Anna. Next, Stanley got sent on to Idaho to be with my mom and dad.

Well, mom and dad have been asking about Stanley's adventures in Hawaii, so I thought I'd share the pictures with one and all. I'll add pictures from Idaho as I get them, in another installment.

In this first posting, I'm enclosing photos of Stanley on Oahu, going about regular life with Tim, Anna, Cole, Sydney, Mack and Nora. Stanley went to the EOD shop with Tim and to swim team practice with Sydney and Cole.

It's hard to believe, but our little girl is already one month old. Kristen picked out her outfit and James helped with the background blanket. Amelia looked cute. Riley got in the way. So I guess we all had a part in this.

Fourth of July Parade

The entire family attended the annual Enon Independence Day parade. Kristen marched with the Greenon Knights Marching Band. The rest of us sat with a group from our church and passed out water to the parade participants at the end. Well, Paul and James handed out water. Riley, Amelia and I just watched (or in Amelia's case, slept).
