Sorry I'm behind in posting. I'm attempting to bring to you the videos I made of the Greenon Marching Knights doing their contest show. I thought the Knights did an awesome job and I think the kids and Mr. Fry deserve a lot of praise. Good job everyone!

This weekend was a really big one in our family. The Homecoming game was Friday night. The weather was horrible. We sat in the cold drizzle for a couple of hours watching the Homecoming floats sog by, the football team lose the first half in true Greenon 2009 style and the band/alumni band slip and slide their way through their show. We left right after half-time. It was so bad, the band was released after the third quarter (unheard of).
Saturday morning, Kristen performed with the band AND the choir at the kick-off ceremony for the Apple Butter Festival. This is one of the few times that I've gotten pictures of Kristen, in her band uniform, performing during daylight. Saturday night brought the Homecoming dance. Kristen took her friend Jacob to the dance. This year's theme was a masquerade. They both reportedly had a lot of fun
Aside from Kristen's activities, Amelia also had a big weekend. She turned 4 months old on Saturday. Then on Sunday, she participated in her first 5K, the Apple Butter 5K to benefit Cure Search (childhood cancer research). Yes, Kristen also got up to walk the 5K at 9AM. Several members of our church walked or ran, all sporting our nifty blue T-shirts. The 5K route runs right by the church, making it impossible to hold Sunday School (the road is closed to cars), so we decided to join the race and perhaps capture the interest of other runners or spectators.
Finally, Amelia got to sample her first taste of cereal. She decided she liked it well enough.
