Holidays in Tennessee

On the 30th, our family drove down to Tennessee to visit Paul's relatives. We stayed with Paul's Aunt Sondra and got to visit all parts of Paul's family. We celebrated New Year's Eve at Sondra's and New Year's Day at Meg's. Everyone had fun.

A wonderful Christmas

Christmas was even more special than usual this year. We started by celebrating Christmas Eve with our friends, the Erdmanns. We had dessert together and took turns reading the Advent Book.

On Christmas morning, my mom and dad came to join the fun. Ted and Ariel were even able to make it, quite a feat since their work schedules usually have them sleeping at that time. We started with cinnamon rolls, coffee cake and cheesecake, in which we put candles for our traditional singing of the Happy Birthday song to our Savior. Of course, after that we enjoyed opening gifts.

Ted and Ariel left to have Christmas dinner with her family, while we were busy sticking our own dinner in the oven, roaster or pot. For the afternoon's festivities, we were joined by our friends Ken, Jennifer, Rich and Cindra. Following a yummy meal, we opened gifts and then had even more food - dessert.

I am so thankful to have been able to spend the holiday with so many people we love.

Sterner Winter Reunion

The weekend of December 18, 2010, marked the first time in 9 1/2 years that the entire Sterner clan was together in one place. It was a pretty cool weekend which we extended to three jam-packed days together with family and even a night with friends. I've put together a slide show of the fun we had. Enjoy!
